About Us

Eltec was founded in 1994 in Budapest, Hungary. The strategic location in Central Europe offers easy access to continental Europe, including the largest economic market in the world, the European Union. The company chose an easily accessible location in the industrial part of Budapest as its headquarters, which is close to the international airport and highway junctions, and minutes from the city center. 	At start-up, Eltec employed a workforce of 35 people and serviced exclusively to an automotive supplier in Germany. Eltec's mission was to establish itself as a leading wire harness manufacturer with a niche market product of exceptionally high quality. By 1997, Eltec expanded its operations from the automotive industry to home appliance and computer, diversified its product palette and increased production.

In 1999, Eltec reorganized its operations by creating five entities that now cooperate in what is known as the Eltec Group. The growing reputation and quality service prompted Eltec to obtain the ISO TS 16949 Certificate to become a global competitive player in the automotive industry.
In 2000, Eltec became the first ISO TS 16949 certified business entity in Hungary and sixth in the world, and gradually emerged from a parts manufacturer to a competent solutions provider and valuable business partner. Eltec's specialty covers customized service solutions for difficult manufacturing tasks in the small to mid size order quantity. The company has built a reputable network throughout the European continent for many years, but Hungary's EU membership in 2004 allowed
Eltec to improve its services to the western European market and function competitively across entire Euopre.
Today, the group services the automotive, commercial vehicle, machinery, medical technology, home appliance, computer, and aviation & aerospace industries. It employs a total workforce of over 200 people and maintains steady growth in an international market.
